The way the food industry is going, it’s getting harder every day to find a product that does not contain any harmful substances. Every company out there is only thinking of profit and are not even a little concerned about the dangers to our health. And breakfast cereals are no different. "Trix, Cheerios, Party Mix, Cocoa Puffs, Reese’s Puffs and similar are all rather popular cereal and you or your children have probably had it for breakfast. Well did you know they contain paint thinner? Paint thinner or trisodium phosphate is a common chemical used by construction workers to thin the paint that they use. It is also used as a degreaser, mildew remover, and a siding cleaner. The FDA has warned people against cleaning with this chemical as it can harm them and the environment, so why now is it okay for us to consume this potentially harmful chemical in our cereal? Most cereal industries use this ingredient to preserve their cereals life on the shelf.
The problems eating TSP causes:
– The reduction of bone density due to mineral leeching
– Calcification of the kidneys
– Serious irritation of gastric mucosa
– Abdominal burning
– Shock
