Why do YOU think that I should vaccinate my child?

Here are some common responses/questions back up with links from people who have had a vaccine injured child or choose to to vaccinate....why you might choose not to vaccinate. 1. Do you want polio to come back? • Polio never actually left. They just call it by many different names now. Let’s do some math. 1,400 cases of transverse myelitis + 6,000 cases of GBS + 75,000 cases of aseptic meningitis = 82,400 cases of polio-like illness every year in the US. Adjusted for population size (319 million), this affects 0.026% of the population. Let’s compare this to the peak incidence of polio in 1952, which was 52,000 cases. Adjusted for population size in 1952 (158 million), that’s 0.033%. • Up to about 95 percent of people infected with polio have no symptoms, 4%+ have mild flu like symptoms, less than 1% result in a form of permanent paralysis. http://web.archive.org/.../vac.../vpd-vac/polio/dis-faqs.htm https://www.facebook.com/MyIncredibleOpinionWithForrestMaready/videos/1656632224660551/https://www.facebook.com/jason.christoff.12/posts/10209194170423711 2. You don’t want her to DIE, do you? • The odds of a vaccinated child dying from the vaccine are much higher than a child who has never had the vaccine. Death is listed as a possible adverse reaction on every single vaccine on the market. • The “vaccine-preventable” diseases had a death rate of less than 0.001% BEFORE the vaccines were even introduced. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1265371996823598&set=a.310515865642554.88189.100000524294572&type=3&hc_ref=SEARCH 3. Do you want (______) to get sick? • Not-vaccinated children are overall healthier than their vaccinated counterparts: http://circleofdocs.com/studies-prove-without-doubt-that.../ • Some of these illnesses they vaccinate for have many benefits if you achieve natural immunity (catch the wild virus and pass it naturally). For example, having the measles or mumps can help fight cancer: http://www.nature.com/articles/mto201619 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3926122/ • Every child will get sick at some point in their lives. It is how they build a healthy immune system so they can fight infectious diseases in adulthood. 4. What about all the kids/adults who can’t get vaccinated? Don’t you want to protect them? You’re willing to risk everyone else’s safety? • Can you articulate why you believe my child is carrying around a disease they have never been exposed to, and have no symptoms of? Not-vaccinated individuals tend to be contagious mainly when they are showing symptoms. The vaccinated however can be sick or shedding contagious pathogens at any time with no symptoms to warn you when to avoid the immune compromised. This is called shedding or being an asymptomatic carrier. https://www.facebook.com/knowthevax/posts/1788097588070941:0 http://thinkingmomsrevolution.com/dont-vaccinate-protect.../ • The theory you are referring to is called “herd immunity” and it does not apply to vaccine-induced immunity, but was first introduced in relation to natural immunity (when someone catches the wild virus and is immune for the remainder of their life). https://www.facebook.com/knowthevax/posts/1788096641404369 • Even if vaccine-induced herd immunity were more than mere myth, I would never sacrifice my child for the “greater good”. 5. So what happens when she does get sick with measles/mumps/polio? • I’ve spent quite a bit of time learning how to treat these diseases naturally and am confident in her ability to fight them off swiftly and successfully without incident. If she did end up showing symptoms I was concerned about, I would use modern, western medicine (it does have its place, sometimes). If we are speaking specifically about Pertussis, here is a doctor’s protocol for treating it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0LLX0sgwAU 6. I’ve seen someone die of a vaccine-preventable disease! You will never know what that is like! • I’m very sorry that you are one of the few people who has seen this. It is extremely rare, much rarer than seeing someone injured by a vaccine. If you claim that this was a recent occurrence, I’d love to know the details, because the CDC would have a record of this, and I would like to research exactly what complication the deceased had that would have made them so sick that they died. In every situation, you will find an extenuating circumstance that progressed their illness beyond the normal illness, i.e. they were recently vaccinated and their immune system was so overwhelmed fighting the vaccine, that it could not fight off the attack from a mutated version of the virus. Below, you can see that more people have died from the measles vaccine, than from measles, in the last decade: http://www.naturalnews.com/048573_measles_deaths_MMR... 7. The doctor that started this anti-vaccine movement was completely debunked/discredited. • I’m going to assume you are talking about Andrew Wakefield. You might want to learn his name, and get the facts straight, as that is NOT a true statement about the situation surrounding Andrew Wakefield. Let’s get it straight: https://www.facebook.com/Researchvaccines/posts/1802771716671014 https://www.facebook.com/angiegs/posts/10150663577844967 8. So you want your child to die of cancer? • No. That’s one of the reasons I choose NOT to vaccinate, because I do not want my child to get cancer in the first place (there have been no studies on the carcinogenic potential of ANY vaccine): https://www.facebook.com/chelsea.../posts/10154234070177054 9. What are you going to do about school/daycare? • We live in TX, one of 47 states that allows exemptions outside of a medical reason (all 50 states offer a medical exemption) not to vaccinate. I can either declare that I am religiously or philosophically opposed to vaccinating and turn that statement in to the school, or licensed daycare, of my choice. This is not new and you and your children likely go to school/daycare with not-vaccinated children already, not including when you go to Target, the grocery store, or any other public place. You are surrounded by people who are not vaccinated when you are not at home. http://www.nvic.org/Vacci.../state-vaccine-requirements.aspx
